Michelle Caruana – Founder and CEO
Ms. Caruana is the Founder & President of HANA Resources specializing in environmental consulting and habitat restoration. Duties include: handling and overseeing all financial matters, strategic planning, corporate management, estimating, and internal operations. Additional tasks include human resources, contract administration, client interaction and pest control advisory recommendations.
Past experience includes performed surveys, mapped territories, determined the number of males and breeding pairs and nest monitoring of the least Bell’s vireo on Camp Pendleton USMC. On U.S. Naval Air Station, Miramar and Camp Pendleton USMC Michelle performed migratory and breeding study to monitor avian productivity and survivorship (MAPS), tasks include identifying birds, banding and recording pertinent data for MAPS requirements. Field operations involved monitoring and maintenance of revegetation projects throughout California in the public and private sectors, including plant identification, administering vegetative plans including implementation of weed abatement programs and irrigation schedules with familiarity in riparian, oak woodland and coastal scrub communities.
AJ Fox – Executive VP/COO
Mr. Fox has been with HANA Resources since 2016 and is the Chief Operating Officer. His responsibilities include oversight of client expectations through effective management of estimating, business development, operations, administration and financial execution. He assists and reviews all estimates and proposals, works with clients to ensure the project requirements are successfully achieved; develop relationships with clients and vendors; research cutting edge restoration methods, equipment, products, and opportunities; responsible for compliance with agency requirements; reviews the status of resources and communicates directly with agencies, clients, owners and project managers. He analyzes and oversees company development and stability in order to achieve corporate objectives.
