Position Status: Full-Time

Location: Lake Forest, California

Job Summary: HANA Resources, Inc. is actively seeking individuals interested in working for a company with opportunities in environmental geology, hydrogeology and geochemistry for employment in the Lake Forest, CA office. Successful candidate will work directly under the supervision of a California licensed Professional Geologist (PG).

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Perform field sampling and data collection activities, data analysis, and other related duties as directed
  • Installation and logging of exploratory soil borings
  • Installation of ground water and vapor monitoring wells
  • Collection of soil, ground water, and soil vapor samples
  • Perform well gauging/monitoring activities
  • Preparation of detailed daily reporting and documentation
  • Preparation of ground water contour maps
  • Preparation of soil and soil vapor concentration contour maps
  • Preparation of data summary tables and figures suitable for presentation in reports
  • Preparation of specific report sections as directed
  • Preparation of geology and mineral resources sections for CEQA/NEPA documents
  • Preparation of Phase I ESAs and ISAs

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS/MS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Geology or related
  • 0 – 2 years of experience including field sampling and data collection
  • Detailed and organized in work habits
  • Willingness to learn and take direction
  • Technical writing and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications: Outlook, Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Willingness to travel locally and out of area as necessary
  • Valid CA drivers license and an insurable driving record
  • Must pass drug screening and background check

  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication
  • High level of computer proficiency
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Quick and competent learner
  • Ability to solve problems and make independent decisions and judgments
  • Experience being resourceful and creative in problem solving with good critical thinking skills
  • Capable of working independently and handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in the environmental consulting industry is a plus
